Compression Molding

Compression is a high-capacity, high-pressure moulding method in which high-temperature sulphurisation is applied by pressure on a plate vulcanising press. The raw material is a clear silicone rubber in gel form, which is homogeneously mixed with vulcanising agent and colouring agent in a mixer and then cut into strips prior to production. These strips are then compressed by the vulcaniser at a specific temperature and at a preset pressure. After an optimum curing time, they will be demoulded.

LSR 2-Shot Molding

LSR two-component injection moulding or multi-component injection moulding is sometimes also referred to as overmoulding, assembly injection moulding or two-component injection moulding. Generally, LSR is applied directly to the polycarbonate substrate immediately after it has been moulded, using the same mould and injection moulding machine.

Extrusion

Silicone extrusion is a continuous moulding process that involves forcing silicone through a moulded die to produce ropes, complex profiles and cross-sections. The silicone rubber compound will be mixed and extruded through an extruder and will then pass through a tunnel oven. Full vulcanisation is carried out through a post-baking channel, solving production and quality challenges that are simply not solved by traditional silicone rubber extrusion and vulcanisation processes.
